Place To Visit In Perth

Western Australia is a great alternative to Sydney or Melbourne for travelers who want to experience the charm, culture, food, and wine of Australia without the crowds.

Perth is the sunniest capital in Australia, and it’s a great place to visit all year round.

You’ll fall in love with this place once you arrive and be amazed at all the things to do in this area of the country.

You can take a break from the hustle and bustle of Perth by visiting Rottnest Island. Or, you can take a day trip to Margaret River. Or, you can walk through the lush foliage in Kings Park’s botanic gardens.

Enjoy the beautiful beaches

The beaches of Perth are definitely one of the most attractive features of living there.

Perth, located on the Indian Ocean coast, is home to glistening sand and crystal-clear water. It’s no wonder that most holidaymakers spend at least a day at the beach.

The sunsets on the West Coast are spectacular, so come in the afternoon to experience one of the top things to do in Perth.

What Perth beaches are worth visiting?

Cottesloe Beach

Cottesloe Beach, or ‘Cott,’ as it is known locally, is Australia’s most famous beach and can be reached in 20 minutes by public transport from Perth.

The clear waters and laid-back culture of the surf culture make it a popular destination. There are also nearby pubs and bars to enjoy a beer or eat if you want.

This is a huge natural waterpark!

For those who enjoy a drink and making new friends, don’t miss the Sunday Session.

Mullaloo Beach

Mullaloo Beach, in Perth’s southwest corner, is a popular destination for families with children.

It’s safe for beginners to swim in the waves.

There is a grassy area with benches and barbecues for picnics at the top of the beach. The beach has a large place for children to play and barbecue.

Scarborough Beach

Scarborough, or ‘Scabs,’ as we locals call it, is one of our favorite places in Perth.

Reconstruction of the beach strip started in 2017 and involved a $ 100 million investment. It was only recently reopened.

New additions include a large family play area, a beach swimming pool, and a skating bowl.

City Beach

The beach is a great place for surfers, with strong waves all year.

You can find many open-air cafés and seafood restaurants that overlook the Indian Ocean. They are perfect for a snack after a swim.

Kings Park offers stunning views

Kings Park isn’t just a popular tourist attraction in Perth; it’s also a favorite among locals!

It is well-known in horticulture and science for its conservation and research efforts.

It is famous for housing the Western Australian Botanic Garden and having over 400 acres of protected bushland next to the city.

The DNA Tower is a highlight of this garden. The DNA Tower was inspired by the staircase of a French Chateau in Blois, which also resembled a DNA molecule.

We recommend taking a Perth City Tour. You will enjoy the Botanic Garden, scenic views on a coastal drive, and a visit to the beach, as well as a chance to have lunch in a winery.

It is one of the most exciting things to do in Perth.

Discover the wineries of the Swan Valley

This time, leave the children at home and head to the Swan Valley!

The wine culture in the valley has evolved and grown with the help of European migrants who moved to the area after World War I.

The majority of wineries in Avon Valley and Margaret River, to the south, are family-owned. You can see the rich tradition of passed-down flavors and unique wines.

If you self-drive, then you will not be able to sample the wonderful wine.

We recommend booking a Swan Valley Wine Tour to ensure you get to all the best wineries, taste as much as you like, and still make it home safely.

A new company has opened in Perth called King Mini Bus Charter. They offer a variety of options, whether you are a solo traveler or have a small group of friends.

The Swan Valley Tours will pick you up at your hotel or home and take you to all the top venues in the Swan Valley. The best part is that when the day is over, they will drop you off at your accommodation in the city or at home.

King Mini Bus Charter offers a variety of vehicles, including minibusses with 13 or 14 seats or luxury buses with 20 or 35 seats.

If you are looking to book Swan Valley wine tours, check them out.

Take an afternoon walk on the Lotterywest Federated Walkway

Lotterywest Federated Walkway is located in Kings Park.

The Swan River is best enjoyed from a 16-meter high platform, surrounded by tall eucalyptus and wildflower gardens.

This is one of the best Perth attractions to learn about indigenous culture as well as the rich flora in Western Australia.

You can see wildflowers from Western Australia, plants of the Mediterranean Climatic zone, Kimberley Flora, bushland vegetation, Oak Heritage Woodland, and many more.

Fremantle Markets: Check them out

The Fremantle Markets are the most well-known weekend markets in Western Australia and among the best in Australia.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of local products, handmade souvenirs, clothing, and delicious meals, as well as an eclectic atmosphere that reflects over 100 years of cultural heritage.

There’s also no entry fee! This makes it the perfect family day out.

Even if you’re not a fan of shopping, visiting the Freo Markets in Perth is a great thing to do.

What else can you do other than shopping?

The Freo Markets heritage trail is a great way to learn more about the role of the markets in the history of the city. You can also visit the baby animals farm and sample some of the food sold in the Hall.

You can also do as we do and watch the street performers. John Butler’s music career began in this market!

Selfie With a Quokka On Rottnest Isle

Rottnest Island is a beautiful day trip you can take from Perth. It is only a short ferry ride from the city.

Spend the day on the island cycling, snorkeling, dining in restaurants, or simply relaxing on the beach.

Quokkas, the island’s native species, have become a real hit in recent years.

These adorable creatures roam the island. They are very friendly. It’s so nice that you can get up close and take a photo with one!

They are still wild animals, so we don’t recommend touching them or feeding them. However, they are adorable, and you just can’t resist taking a picture with them.
