Our business development workshops have been designed to provide you with all the resources you need to build upon your tourism idea. In our workshops we aim to minimalise the risks associated with starting up a business and ensure your venture is a sustainable one.

Regional Induction Day: This is an opportunity for all registered participants to meet for the first time. A number of key tourism industry stakeholders are invited. They are important contacts in setting up your new venture.

Workshop 1: Getting Started: Workshop One offers an insight into what Agri-tourism is all about; the skills needed to be successful in the industry and the impact on lifestyles. 

Workshop 2: Strength of you’re Agri /Nature Tourism Business: Workshop Two is be held on a successful Agri-tourism or Nature-based tourism property where participants can conduct a full tour and assessment of the business. 

Workshop 3: If You Build, They Will Come ...Or Will They?: Workshop Three moves participants into the field of marketing. Strategies are presented with accompanying research data and guest speakers from State, Regional or Local Tourism organisations will present information on local and regional statistics. 

On Property Assessment: Business facilitators will review your proposed Agri-tourism business on site and provide ground truth input on its potential viability, areas for consideration, challenges, and benefits.

Workshop 4: Show Me The Money!: Workshop Four is the culmination of all the information presented so far, leading to a financial analysis of running an Agri-tourism business. The workshop ends with a decision on, if or how, to move forward.
